- Main aim of cohort
The overarching aim of this project is to study the factors related to the Developmental Origins of Health and Diseases (DOHaD) in Iranian population. Towards this aim, we will evaluate the impact of socioenvironmental, psychological and genetic factors on pregnancy outcomes, child mental and physical health, growth, and development, and early- and late-onset chronic non-communicable diseases.

Enrollment criteria, please specify
We enroll pregnant women with Iranian nationality, reside in the catchment area of the study center, plan to give birth in the hospitals located in the city where the cohort is undergoing, natural pregnancy or with history of using assisted reproductive techniques for treating infertility, and do not have any communication problems. Pregnancies ending in both natural vaginal delivery and Cesarean section are included in the study.
Exclusion criteria, please specify
Those women who would migrate from the city of the ongoing cohort, Give birth in not a reference hospital, and those without compliance to follow the study will be excluded from the study.
